Fashion models are typically used to launch a new product

Fashion models are typically used to launch a new product, perhaps a new range of clothing from a boutique chain or new perfume from a cosmetic store or the latest must have item of jewelry and within the broad spectrum of fashion modeling is the rather demanding “high fashion modeling.”

High fashion modeling tends to involve the model being photographed in a series of different of themes or gimmicks if you like, with the clothing and face used as a means of communicating some message or theme. 3 major powerhouses for high fashion modeling have to Vogue, W and Vanity Fair, and it is fair to say that the fashion models are the ones responsible for pressing forward the effectiveness of a particular range of clothing or jewelry. More often than not it is the reputation and credibility of the model herself that makes the sales, rather than the product itself.

Runaway modeling once hailed as the staple of many a fledging and aspiring young model is now being looked down on with a degree of disdain, gone are the good old days were the models were able to command a fee of $10,000 upwards for a single show. Runaway modeling is now perceived as little more than the first rung to be climbed before being launched into greater and bigger things. Whilst it does help the prospective models earn some vital experience in the fashion industry the wages are rather paltry especially in comparison to what they were before.

Beauty escapes an effective definition

Beauty has always been an ideal which has escaped an effective definition for many years now and it is a topic that has been covered in many a varying academic field such as of Sociology, Extended Psychology and Religion each of which has its own particular thoughts and arguments to put forward.

Beauty relates to anything be it something which is tangible and has a physical presence or an ideal which entices and excites the senses and which is able to cause a sense of harmony, joy or peace for the viewer. This definition gives rise to the most exciting thing of all about beauty, its many different and exciting facets.

Beauty is something which is unique to each and every one of us, and yet, whilst it would seem that so many different views would result in discord and conflict, beauty by its nature helps to bind and unite people together. At religious ceremonies, people sing songs in exaltation and as a means of expressing their joy and faith.

Beauty is by its nature perfect and so is indicative of some greater being, beyond our own flawed and limited understanding and it is fair to say that many of the world’s most famous paintings have been painted by people who were divinely inspired.

As The Modeling Industry begins to close in on itself the definition of beauty is now in question

Beauty is commonly defined as a characteristic present in a person, place, object or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning or satisfaction to the mind or to the eyes, arising from sensory manifestations such as a shape, color, personality, sound, design or rhythm.

Beauty is something that has escaped a precise definition over the years, rather than having some form of definitive and universal meaning, it has been a social construct, both a reflection of and dependent upon the socio-cultural factors of the era and place. Beauty now has became a major cottage industry with so many of striving to look our absolute best, part of living in a consumer society is that we place great emphasis on fiscal achievement and cosmetic beauty.

If you are open to new experiences and enjoy the wonderful pursuit of knowledge, then this article is just perfect for you! Beauty is such a personal and individual thing, although a common theme found in the different opinions of beauty is that beauty involves some form of unity and precision, beauty by its nature is perfect because  it is proportionate and in balance. Vices and defects, by their nature either lean to either too much or too little. Virtue by its nature always finds the happy medium.
Beauty can help a person reflect and ponder as to their own lives, be it their decisions or perhaps the choices they make, and by this logic, it would be fair to say that an object which helps us to focus on our lives is a thing of beauty.
